FAG Top-Laser SMARTY2 is a linear laser for aligning pulleys with a diameter greater than 60mm. Proper alignment of the pulleys reduces wear and energy loss in the transmission systems and associated parts such as bearings and oil seals. TRUMMY2 FAG Top-Laser is a manual, optical-electronic and robust instrument for measuring the tension of the transmission belts.
In order to obtain the maximum life of a belt, it is very important that it is properly tensioned. Moreover, the correct tension will reduce the wear of the parts in the system, will reduce the energy consumption and will increase the efficiency in relation to the costs.
The device measures the natural frequency with the help of a light pulse and uses it to determine the belt tension. This technique is less exposed to disturbing elements compared to sound wave meters.
